Mum launches fund-raiser to help care for baby daughter awaiting heart surgery

A Warrington mum has launched a fundraising page so she can take time of work and care for her six-month-old baby girl as she awaits surgery on a serious heart condition.

Olivia Gorton is raising funds to help support her family while they navigate their 6 month-old-baby girl Isabelle’s heart journey.

Olivia said: “At birth, our little girl was found to have a heart murmur. After further monitoring and tests over the following months, this has now been diagnosed as severe pulmonary valve stenosis. As she grows, this condition may cause her to become breathless and struggle with activity, as her heart is unable to pump oxygenated blood around her body as effectively as it should.
“As a family, we are facing a really uncertain and emotional time. My maternity pay has now come to an end, and I am due to return to work. However, we are currently awaiting an operation for our little girl and navigating ongoing appointments, with so many unknowns about what the future holds.
“We are hoping to raise funds to help cover essential bills and living costs while I take additional time off work to care for our daughter during this difficult period. Any support would help relieve some of the financial pressure and allow me to focus fully on being there for her when she needs me most.
“Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any support you are able to give — whether through donating, sharing, or keeping us in your thoughts.”
