THREE fire crews were called out during the early hours of today to tackle a vehicle blaze on the M62 at Warrington.
At 00:53 three crews from Warrington and Penketh attended reports of a vehicle blaze on the M62, between junctions 8 and 7 westbound.
Firefighters extinguished a vehicle that was well alight on the hard shoulder. Lane one was closed while the crews used a hose reel to put it out.
They then checked the vehicle for hot spots of fire using a thermal imaging camera and were in attendance for approximately 55 minutes.
Paramedics also attended along with Highways Agency.
