ROAD closures will be in place in Lymm village centre on Christmas Eve for the annual Carols From The Cross event.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the popular free event.

On the night, Cheshire’s MIX 56 will start the festive ball rolling, warming up the crowds’ vocal chords from 6.30pm. Local schools’ festive songs will be played from 6.30pm with carols starting from 7pm. A team of local dignitaries including Lymm’s Town Crier, AJ Powell (grandson of former Crier, Peter Powell) will be on stage joining in the festivities.
Stage, sound and light experts will ensure that everyone who comes to the village will be able to hear the event, once again staged from the Lower Dam. Warrington Brass Band will be back on
stage this year, providing a live musical accompaniment to the Carols, joined by Helen Elliott from Smiley Tunes providing singing support.
There will be no physical carols booklets available on the night. These can be downloaded from the Parish Council website in advance.
QR codes will be available throughout December for donations towards Carols and Christmas in Lymm. All donations will be gratefully received.
