ONE person was taken to hospital last night (Sunday) after a car collided with a house at Penketh, Warrington.
Shortly before 10 pm, one fire engine from Penketh was called to a road traffic collision where a car had collided with a house. The impact had also damaged a power line.
No one was trapped in the vehicle, and one casualty, who was already out of the car, was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
The residents of the affected property were escorted to a neighbour’s house. The house is not believed to have any severe structural damage.
In another incident during the early hours of this morning Crews were called to a car emitting smoke on the driveway of a property on Stone Pit Lane. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to cool the vehicle and make it safe. The road had to be closed while the incident was dealt with due to the access needed to the fire hydrant.
