POLICE have seized two stolen trucks on cloned plates following suspicious activity on an industrial estate in Warrington last night, Friday.

Chief Officer Boland and Special Constable Fadel from Cheshire Specials were patrolling Warrington when they received reports of unusual activity at an industrial estate involving a truck.

Given CO Boland’s emergency response capability, officers were able to attend the scene alongside Police Constable Hill from Warrington Response, who arrived promptly.
Upon arrival, a male inside the truck was immediately detained. Further investigation revealed the truck was stolen and had ‘cloned plates’ displaying an incorrect registration. Consequently, he was arrested and taken into custody.
While PC Hill and SC Fadel transported the arrested man to custody, CO Boland noticed a similar truck parked behind and became suspicious. Further checks confirmed that this truck was also on ‘cloned plates’ and clearly being used in crime.
Both trucks were recovered and further investigations are now underway.
Police say “This impressive ‘catch’ by the officers involved undoubtedly prevented further crimes that could have impacted local businesses.”
