TWO fire crews and emergency services were called out following reports of a collision on the M6 at Warrington, earlier today, Friday.
At 13:38, crews from Warrington and Birchwood attended the incident on the M6 South J22 to J21A.
One vehicle was checked using a thermal imaging camera – the other is believed to have left the scene before fire crews arrived.
Lane one was closed while the incident was dealt with. The driver received a precautionary check from paramedics.
The incident was handed over to Highways.
The incident caused 3.5 miles of congestion and 40-minute delays.
Lane 1 (of 3) is closed on the #M6 southbound within J21A (#M62 #Warrington) due to a collision between 2 lorries.
