Wheelie bin torched in town centre

POLICE have been asked to investigate after a wheelie bin was set on fire in Warrington town centre last night, Tuesday.

At 20:09 one crew from Birchwood attended reports of a wheelie bin on fire on Horsemarket Street, Warrington.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire in a wheelie bin and a stack drag was used to turn over the contents of the bin, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
Police were informed as this is believed to have been lit deliberately.
