Police launch appeal following fatal collision on M6 near Lymm

POLICE have launched an appeal for information following a fatal collision on the M6 near Lymm, Warrington, at the weekend.

The incident involved a collision between a car and a pedestrian at around 8:51 am on Sunday morning.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 8.51 am on Sunday 16 November, police were called to reports of a collision on junction 19 of the M6 northbound, near Knutsford in Cheshire.
Officers attended the scene and found that the collision involved a blue Volkswagen Caravelle and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“An investigation into the collision has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to confirm the identity of the pedestrian.”
