LED by Aussie legend Alfie Langer Warrington Wolves legends took on local Masters Rylands Sharks at Victoria Park last weekend raising funds for the Life for a Kid charity.

Langer was joined by the likes of Kevin Ellis, Gary Chambers, Toa Kohe-Love and Iestyn Harris, as they rolled back the years in front of a crowd of around 1,500 spectators.
While the Legends were captained by Langer the Masters were led by Alan Brinksmans.
The game was a modified “grab and hold” format, with no conventional tackling and raised over £10,000 for the Life for a Kid charity.
In a closely contested and fun-spirited game, the Legends were able to show flashes of their past brilliance.

The Masters side, who regularly play in the local Masters league, was well-drilled by their coach.
The atmosphere was lively, with the returning players receiving a strong reception from the fans who had come to see their former heroes.
The Legends’ team demonstrated impressive handling skills and teamwork, while the Masters displayed their own solid execution.
Ultimately, the match was an entertaining affair, with the score less significant than the occasion and the money raised for charity.
