Warrington Youth Zone’s 2025 Christmas Appeal has officially launched.
This Christmas, the Youth Zone will be there for young people and their families when they need it most.
The focus of the Youth Zone’s 2025 Christmas Appeal will be a special Big Give campaign, the Christmas Meal Appeal, which launches on Tuesday 2 December.
They will be raising much-needed funds to provide their annual Christmas Meal, supporting 60 local families to enjoy a day of food and festivities at the Youth Zone.
With the support of generous donations from the local community, the Youth Zone say they will ensure families experiencing hardship this winter feel valued, supported and cared for.
Between December 2-9, the Youth Zone will be hoping to secure up to £2,500 of match funding from Big Give, with all donations and match funding proceeds going towards their Christmas Meal.
“While for most, Christmas is a time of celebration and abundance, with the cost-of-living crisis taking its toll and foodbank use at an all-time high, for so many families, Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time, both financially and emotionally,” the Youth Zone said.
“Our Christmas Meal brings the community together – made possible by volunteers and donations – and offers support, generosity and joy to families when they need it most.”
Last Christmas, around 250 local people, from babies to grandparents, gathered at the Youth Zone to enjoy a three-course Christmas dinner with all the trimmings!
The young people in attendance were also able to enjoy Santa’s Grotto, crackers, games, crafts and a festive disco.
After the event, gift and food hampers were delivered to each family home, using items generously donated by the Youth Zone’s business community.
