Olive was born 1925 in Salford, but spent her childhood and teenage years growing up on Barsbank Lane, going to Statham School.
Afterwards, her first job was in Broadheath but she soon found herself working at the Co-Op which used to be on Rectory Lane where one of her duties was patting butter into 1/2 pound blocks
In 1952 she met and married Jack who had just finished his National Service in the Royal Navy. Their first home together was on Massey Avenue, where, in 1954 Olive & Jacks son Michael was born and in 1963 they moved to their forever home on Egerton Road.
Olive worked during the 60’s and 70’s at Hygenic Dry Cleaners on the corner of Henry Street and Eagle Brow. Later she worked for Pam Bolland at Pam Boutique in both Grappenhall and Lymm.
During the 40’s and 50’s Olive was an avid ballroom dancer, dancing throughout Warrington and Altrincham up to 5 nights a week. This pastime ended abruptly when she married a man with two left feet
