Arplemere, a new residential and dementia care home set to open in Warrington, has appointed Laura Aspin as its General Manager.
Laura has worked in the care sector since the age of 17, starting out as a care assistant before progressing through a variety of roles to achieve her goal of becoming a Registered Manager.
Alongside her extensive experience, Laura holds qualifications in Health Studies, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, and is a qualified Trainer and Assessor for Health and Social Care.
She is a passionate advocate of person-centred care, with a strong belief in leading by example and embedding a culture of excellence across her team at Arplemere. Laura said,
“I feel incredibly proud to be leading Arplemere as General Manager. I’m committed to ensuring every resident and family experiences the highest standards of kindness, compassion, and support in our home, and we’re all looking forward to welcoming our first residents in November.”
Laura is also the fundraising committee chair for the Smiley Smiley Josh Riley Foundation, a charity founded in honour of her late partner.
Through her leadership, the foundation has raised over £100,000, recently funding a luxury lodge in the Lake District for young adults with cancer to enjoy with their families during treatment or palliative care.
Laura and the new team at Arplemere will be inviting everyone from the local community to a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday 15th November, where all will be welcome for VIP tours of the new home, entertainment for all ages, and homemade refreshments.
