A number of road and footway closures are set to come into force on Hallfields Road, Orford, later this month (September) for highway improvement and traffic calming works.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving and footway closure on Hallfields Road from the A50 Orford Green to the junction of Withers Avenue.
The closures are set to come into force over a period of 10 days from next Friday, September 19th.
The Order will be effective from 19th September 2025 for up to 10 days as follows: Friday 19th September 2025 – 7 pm to midnight; Saturday 20th September 2025 – 8 am to 4 pm; Sunday 21st September 2025 – 9 am to 4 pm; Provisional dates of Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2025 with the same operational hours. The restrictions will be in place as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Withers Drive, Smith Drive and the A50. The restrictions are required for highway improvement/traffic calming works.
