PLANNING chiefs at Warrington Borough Council have thrown out proposals to convert a house into a children’s home.
The detached property in Lovely Lane would have been used as a home for three children.
But Warrington Borough Council planning officers say the property is unsuitable for the development proposed and the accessibility of the on site parking provision is inadequate to serve the development in view of the proposed staffing patterns, particularly to meet parking demand at peak times associated with the use in an area where there is limited available on-street parking.
They say the applicant, Bright Future Homes, have failed to demonstrate that the development would not result in on-street parking congestion which would ultimately be detrimental to highway safety and the general amenity of the area.
The house is unusual in the area as it is detached, with a large front garden and set back from the road, while adjacent properties are terraced with little or no front gardens.
