Cheshire Grange Care Home in Lymm will be celebrating the National Day of Arts in Care Homes by holding an art exhibition on September 24.

Arts in Care Homes is a National Activities Providers Association programme which aims to highlight the wellbeing benefits of arts, creativity and cultural engagement in care settings, promoting the beneficial outcomes for care recipients, staff teams and relatives, championing good practice and encouraging care settings to develop more creative activities and opportunities.
This year’s initiative has been themed around ‘Going Green’ and residents at Cheshire Grange have embraced this by putting together a collection of work titled ‘Recycled Memories’

Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition, which will be taking place from 11.00am to 3.30pm at Cheshire Grange, on the day the home will also be hosting A Coffee Morning for Macmillan with all donations for refreshments supporting the charity.
Jo Eland, Life Enrichment Lead at Cheshire Grange said: “Creative projects are very popular and connect with residents on many different levels. This project has given residents opportunities to explore colours and textures and express something of their personalities and as with all our projects it have proved a great conversation starter”
