Members of the public are warmly invited to attend a service of remembrance, praise and thanksgiving at St Elphins Church, marking the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The service, hosted by 1330 (Warrington) Squadron of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, will take place on Sunday 14 September 2025 at St Elphin’s Church, Warrington Parish Church. Doors open at 2.30pm, with the service beginning at 3.00pm.
This annual civic occasion commemorates one of the most decisive moments in British history, the Battle of Britain, the first major campaign fought entirely in the air and a turning point in the Second World War. The service honours the courage, sacrifice and enduring legacy of “The Few”, the RAF pilots, ground crew and all who stood in defence of Britain during its darkest hour.
Led by cadets from 1330 Squadron, the programme will feature hymns, readings, musical performances, and the laying of the Book of Remembrance upon a Drumhead. The service offers a moment of reflection and gratitude, uniting the community in memory and thanksgiving.
