Hi all. It’s holiday’s time again, so I am faced with ‘Out of Office’ responses or ‘OOO’ I guess we all need a holiday, and time to reflect and recharge for the 2nd half of the year.
Ameritz never stops though; we are planning releases for Q4 2025 and 2026.
One fantastic new signing is George Gallagher. Some say “Liverpool’s Michael Buble” I think that is a little unfair on George. Dare I say George can hold his own, even up against Michael Buble.
Plans are now in place to take George to “the next Level” beyond Liverpool. He certainly has the talent to exceed all our expectations. After years of gigging he had a break on the BBC drama ‘The City is Ours’ George appeared as the crooner performing ‘The House of Bamboo’
We invited George to Ameritz to record ‘The House of Bamboo’ live with the Mike Smith band. I have worked with Mike on numerous projects, and he is top draw! His players will be appearing on George’s debut album – Out soon on Ameritz!
Also, this month we welcome a new person to our A+R team. My son Lenny Green! Lenny (who is 15 years old) is very into his music, Hip Hop to be precise. He is going to advise us on the next big UK Hip Hop artists to talk to.
One thing I have learned from my 30+ years in the music business is that the kids always know what will be next big thing.
The Beatles were discovered by Brian Epstein when several 15/16 year old kids came into his shop saying ‘Have you got anything by The Beatles?’ Brian had never heard of them, so he found them, and signed them. The rest is history! The kids found them first.
According to Lenny and his mates at school Hip Hop is as big as ever!
Who am I to argue?
