FOLLOWING on from the sale of its iconic Peace Centre, the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation has become a grant-making charity to fund other charities working in peace building and conflict resolution across the UK.

They are now seeking applications for grants from charities, schools and community groups, especially those based in and around the local area.

For over 30 years, the Foundation has delivered award-winning programmes at the Peace Centre and across the UK, to support victims of terrorism, educate young people and foster positive dialogue across divided communities. With the recent transition away from direct service delivery, the Foundation is now focusing its resources on funding other organisations who share their mission.
“Our work has always been about creating a lasting legacy in the name of Tim and Johnathan,” said Colin Parry OBE, Chair of the Foundation. “By becoming a grant-maker, we can now reach even more communities, supporting grassroots organisations to deliver change where it’s needed most. This next chapter allows us to amplify our impact and keep the memory of the boys alive in a new way.”

The new grants will focus on projects that:
• Support victims of terrorism and conflict
• Promote peace education and conflict resolution in schools and communities
• Strengthen community resilience and prevent radicalisation
• Foster dialogue and reconciliation across divides

Wendy Parry OBE, Co-Founder, added:“We know first-hand how communities can be torn apart by violence and division. But we also know that ordinary people, working together, can achieve extraordinary things. Through the Foundations grant-making programme, we want to support others to carry the torch of peace forward.”
The Foundation invites charities, schools, and community groups from across the UK to apply. Full details can be found at: www.timparryjohnathanballfoundation.org.uk

Meanwhile, the Peace Centre is currently being transformed into a new SEND facility.
