A 23-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving while under the influence of drugs after a high-speed police pursuit at Great Sankey, Warrington.
Abdul Khan, 23, from Penycae, Wrexham, was due to appear at Chester Magistrates today (27 August) to face charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).
It follows on from an incident yesterday, officers from the Roads Policing Team based at Penketh police station attempted to stop a vehicle in the Great Sankey area, however, the driver not to comply and made off at speed.
After a short pursuit of the BMW vehicle, the driver was stopped on a side street off Liverpool Road.
The male was arrested for failing to stop, dangerous driving, being found in possession of cannabis and driving under the influence of Class B drugs.
