WARRINGTON picked up a useful but nerve-wracking victory at Mobberley in the Cheshire County League division three.
Batting first, they hit 186, largely thanks to Brad Roden-Lui, 34, James Lewis, 39 and Charlie Jones, 40.
But the village side hit back and at 136-6 looked well in the hunt. But wickets fell and with the scoreboard ticking over a nail-biting finish was on the cards. In the end Warrington triumphed by 12 runs.
Harley Barrett, 4-47 and Aamir Ali, 3-23,were the pick of the Warrington b owlers.
In division one, the all-too-familiar sight of a batting collapse saw Grappenhall rolled-over for 72 in 30 overs at Cheadle.

But after Birch fell for 15 and Trumper for 26 the batting disintegrated with only one other batter reaching double figures.
The home side raced to victory without losing a wicket.
Grappers now only have three matches left before the season ends. Relegation is now certain and all the team have left to play for is pride and achieving their first victory – or even managing to avoid defeat.
