Emergency services attend two collisions on M6

EMERGENCY services, including three fire crews, attended two collisions on the M6 southbound carriageway yesterday, Sunday, near junction 21, Woolston, Warrington.

At 13:17, three fire engines from Warrington, Lymm and Stockton Heath were called to assist at a road traffic collision on the M6 southbound carriageway near Junction 21.

Reports suggest there were two separate incidents. One incident involved a heavy goods vehicle and a car, with the car coming to a stop in lane four. Fire crews fended off the lanes to control traffic while they made the scene safe.
The second incident involved two cars and was managed by Highways.
Thankfully, no one was trapped in either collision, and no further assistance was required from the fire service.
