Cheshire Grange care home, in Lymm, was full of animal mischief earlier this week when the farm returned to visit the home.
Residents, families and friends at Cheshire Grange were pleasantly surprised to have a visit from Kimzy and her animal friends from Mobile Farm Cheshire.
Kimzy brought Boris the Shetland pony, George the Skinny Pig, Biscuit, Cookie & Brownie the fluffy chicks and rabbits Masie & Minnie.
Residents were really eager to learn about the individual animals and to say hello close up, George the Skinny Pig created a lot of interest!
General Manager Dawn Holsgrove-Smith said: “Our residents, staff, visitors and myself have really enjoyed today’s farm visit. We knew that having the farm here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially for those who were able to have the smaller animals visit them in their rooms. We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”
Resident Kathleen was especially keen to meet Boris the pony saying “He’s a lot smaller than the shire horses I was used to taking to the shows, it was very nice to meet him”
