Warrington & Vale Royal College has announced courses available through the government’s Free Courses for Jobs scheme, designed to help adults enhance their employability and gain valuable, in-demand qualifications.

Through this government-funded initiative, eligible adults can study a level 3 qualification at no cost, helping them to retrain, upskill, or pursue new career opportunities in high-demand sectors. With no tuition fees and expert support from industry-experienced tutors, these flexible, career-focused courses are ideal for anyone looking to boost their employability.
Whether you’re currently unemployed, on a low income, or looking for a fresh start in a new industry, Free Courses for Jobs could help you unlock the next chapter in your career.

You can study a level 3 qualification for free if you:

  • are aged 19 -23 and don’t already have a full level 3 qualification (or higher) OR you do have a full level 3 qualification but earn below the wage threshold of £25,000, or are unemployed and in receipt of an eligible benefit
  • aged 24+ and already have a full level 3 qualification (or higher) but you are currently unemployed and in receipt of an eligible benefit, or earning below the wage threshold.

Wage thresholds may vary depending on where you live. For example, the low income threshold for Liverpool City Region is £35,864.40. Please contact the college to find out if you are eligible.
