A TEAM of volunteers from Amazon’s Warrington fulfilment centre volunteered with Walton Lea Partnership, a charity based in the town that provides work experience for people with learning difficulties in a Victorian walled garden.

Over four sessions, the  volunteers worked alongside young people supported by the organisation in the garden with weeding, laying new weed membrane and putting down wood chippings. The team also helped create a new space for learners, renewing their bike repair space.
Thomas Mannion,  one of the Amazon employees who took part  said:  “I had a brilliant day with my colleagues at the Walton Lea Partnership garden. It was great to meet some of the inspiring young people working with the charity, and hear more about the impact Walton Lea has on real lives.”

Ashok Kalia from Walton Lea Partnership said: “Thank you so much to Amazon for coming along to support our young people and work in our garden. We looked forward to the team joining ahead of every session, and their company provided a real boost to our whole team!”
