Helicopter launched after off-road biker collides with police car

THE Police helicopter was launched last night after an electric off-road bike collided with a police car on Padgate Lane, Warrington.

The unknown male rider fled the scene on foot and police are now seeking help from the public to trace him.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 10.40 pm on Sunday, 3 August, a police car was driving on Padgate Lane, Warrington, when it was hit by an unknown man on a surron bike, causing minor damage to the front bumper.
“The rider of the bike fled the scene on foot in the direction of Manchester Road.
“Officers, supported by the police helicopter, conducted a search of the area, but were unable to locate the man.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 2147311.”
