THE 3rd Warrington East (1st Culcheth) Scout Group has received two grants totalling more than £10,000 to support their ongoing activities.
The first, £730 from Warrington Charities Trust, will allow them to replace old chairs used not only by the group and other Scout Centre users, but also community events.
The second, an amazing £10,000 National Lottery Awards For All Community grant, will be used for essential roof repairs and the replacement of an old heating system.
These grants will help maintain the Scout Centre, enabling them to provide a warm, dry and attractive venue for Scouting and other activities.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We enthusiastically support the young people in the village providing them with opportunities to have fun and gain #SkillsForLife.
“If you are interested in joining the scouts as either a young person aged between 4-14 ½ or as a volunteer, contact Group Lead volunteer liane at [email protected]“>[email protected]
