BLACKPINK is back. Their Billboard 200 No. 1 hit return song, the almost addictive ‘Jump,’ has put K-pop back on the map for everyone. After what felt like a lifetime hiatus (it was only years), everyone is back on the BLACKPINK.
After releasing ‘Shut Down’ and ‘Pink Venom’ and then seemingly vanishing, their comeback is generating millions in downloads. They were probably enjoying their winnings, as both of those songs also reached the Global 200 No. 1.
Released on July 11th, they’ve already reached 123 million streams and 14,000 global sales (Billboard.com). With those numbers, the K-pop band managed to break a four-month drought, with no other artists reaching 100 million streams globally.
And we all know that with a hit song like this, a tour usually follows. Will the K-pop stars of BLACKPINK visit the UK soon? Read on to find out.
BLACKPINK Are Back
BLACKPINK are so back. They last released an album in 2022, BORN PINK, with multiple hits from that reaching Billboard No. 1, as we mentioned. Then they took a 3-year hiatus before bursting back onto the scene with their new album, BP3*. And just like before, they’re releasing hits we can’t stop playing.
The band, featuring Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, has a massive global fan base. They first debuted on August 8, 2016, with their first single album, Square One. Since then, the rest is history. They’ve sold out stadiums and tours worldwide, and the next one has already begun.
The BLACKPINK World Tour
Yes, of course, BLACKPINK is doing a world tour, ‘Deadline,’ alongside their album release. And, yes, they’re coming to the UK in only a couple of weeks.
The BLACKPINK Deadline tour started on July 5th, 2025, and will continue until January 2026. You can compare BLACKPINK concert ticket prices, but if you want to see them in the UK, you can only find them at Wembley Stadium on August 15th and 16th, 2025, but you can still get tickets.
The tour will feature all of their new album and some of their old classics.
The K-pop Phenomenon
K-pop is a massive global phenomenon. BTS has to be the most popular, but BLACKPINK is obviously near the top of the list. The alternative style of music has a unique vibe that you can’t help but get addicted to. You don’t necessarily understand what they’re saying, but you don’t need to.
And if you’ve ever seen a K-pop band perform live, you’ll know it’s nothing short of an incredibly energetic experience. Interestingly, BTS sold more albums than Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande back in 2020 (when they were in their prime).
You don’t necessarily need to be a K-pop fan to like their music.
BLACKPINK are back, and they will definitely be back in the UK soon. As the only K-pop girl band to ever play at Wembley, it’s expected to be one of the best shows of the tour. Get your tickets now before they sell out!
