Reform UK candidate ready to meet local people

REFORM UK candidate Jack Thwaites and a team of volunteers will be in Victoria Square, Stockton Heath next Wedneday (July 30) – to meet local people ahead of a parish council by-election the following day.

Mr Thwaites, a life-long South Warrington resident, says he is standing in the election because he believes there has been a steady and long-term decline in local services while council taxes have risen dramatically.
“I have decided enough is enough,” he said.
“People deserve better and the parish council is the closest tier of governance for them to engage with and have their say.
“I decided to stand for Reform UK to uphold the Party’s core values of family, community and country. I have a young family and I am seriously concerned about the future they will face under the broken promises from Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives.

“Stockton Heath residents have told me they feel disappointed that their parish council doesn’t seem to have a strong voice within Warrington Borough Council and that the village is constantly overlooked”.
If elected, Mr Thwaites has pledged to begin tackling the list of concerns that residents have told him are priorities. These include parking, safety on the streets, facilities closure or underinvestment, and improving services in the community for residents of all ages.
He said: “If you’re eligible to vote, make sure you get out there next Thursday and make that vote count. It’s your Parish Council and your opportunity to make sure I can actively work to make sure we thrive as a local community.”
