THE funeral of well-known Warrington bodybuilder Walter O’Malley will take place on Thursday, July 31st at Walton Lea Crematorium at 3:20 pm.
Members of his family have expressed heartfelt thanks for the immense kindness and support they have received since his passing on Monday evening, last week.
They say messages have been a source of “great comfort during this incredibly challenging time.”
The funeral cortege will be driving past the gym en route to the crematorium so Walter can say one last farwell to his beloved gym.

After a successful bodybuilding career on stage, O’Malley continued to be an important figure back home in Warrington, where opened a gym on Norfman Street where he could interact and help others build the best versions of themselves.
Many took to social media to share memories of O’Malley following his passing, including WWE legend Davey Boy Smith Jr.
he competed in the Mr. Universe competition in the Tall division five times, finishing as the runner-up in 1973 and 1974. He is also a former champion of the Mr. World – AAU, Most Muscular and Tall.
