Warm weather and fair winds brought a bumper crowd to this year’s Stockton Heath Festival to enjoy a varied range of events in July.
Entertainment included local dance groups and singers, theatre groups, classical and rock music, and local shops exhibited historic artifacts as part of the Children’s Heritage Hunt promoting local stories.
Highlights included a sell-out animal handling experience for children, The Crocodile Rockers Elton John tribute band and local history walks. Superb classical musicians and choirs such as Vocal Infinity and The Rivals comedy theatre brought something different to a new audience. Other proud moments were the Festival Art Exhibition attracting high quality works from a record number of talented artists (almost 80) and the eye-catching and stunningly restored ‘Wait and See’ heritage steam engine turned heads in the centre of Stockton Heath Village.
The annual festival has remained proudly independent since it began in 2008, and continues to put the community at the heart of planning each year.
The volunteers would like to thank the crowds which made the 2025 festival such a success. Sponsors, grant providers, local businesses provided Grand Draw raffle prizes, and the volunteers all enable the festival to return in July each year. Planning for the next festival begins in October – see you in 2026!
