Grappenhall still looking for first win of the season

GRAPPENHALL travelled to Stockport Georgians but came away still looking for their first win of the season in the Cheshire County League division one.

They went down by eight wickets after being bowled out for 103 in 19 overs.
Top scorer was Travis Scholes, with 29 and only two other batsmen reached double figures.The home side had 66 on the board before they lost a wicket and reached their target for the loss of just two wickets.
The result left Grappers firmly rooted at the bottom of the table and looking resigned to relegation already.
In division three, Warrington’s match at Hawk Green was abandoned in only the third over due to heavy rain.
In the Cheshire League Lymm Oughtrington Park lost by six wickets at Northwich after being bowled out for 137.
Opener Liam Ramsbottom hit 30 and Andy Brown also hit 30 but no other batsmen got out of the teens.
Northwich lost four wickets reaching their target – two of them falling to Antonnel Atwell.
Appleton lost by nine wickets at Bunbury after being dismissed for a disappointing 108.
Glazebury lost by eight wickets at home to Offerton, despite hitting a respectable 191 after being asked to bat first.
Ben Marote top-scored with 42, skipper Dave Nicholson 28 and Jacob Kenyon 23.
Offerton hit off the runs for the loss of two wickets, both of which fell to Marote.
