PLANS are being finalised for the first-ever Wonderful Warrington Conference showcasing what the town has got to offer.
The event takes place on Friday, 13th June, at Warrington Youth Zone. Arrivals are between 8:00-8:30 am, and there is still time to get involved.
One of the organsiers, Ceri Dobson, headteacher at St Bridget’s Primary School said: “Our goal for the conference is to bring together the headteachers, venues and businesses of Warrington so that we can create an event that demonstrates all that our town has to offer to benefit our school resources, curriculum, our children and their families.”
It will include keynote speakers from Warrington Wolves, Culture Warrington, Warrington Museum, Warrington Youth Zone and Real 5 Networking.
The morning session will include wheelchair rugby, yoga/mindfulness, a climbing wall, pottery, green screen, Creative Hut, boxing, circus skills and a bakery/cooking challenge.
The afternoon session will include a Warrington Stadium tour, a Warrington Museum tour and a town history trail.
There will also be a marketplace showcasing a wide variety of services that can help enhance the curriculum.
