WARRINGTON, with four wins from their first four games of the season, sit comfortably at the top of the Cheshire County League division three table.
They won by 62 runs at Winnington Park, batting first and hitting 267-8 in 50 overs.
The innings was dominated by opened Aamir Ali, who hit a superb 137.
Harley Barratt hit a useful 30 and most of the batters managed to get into double figures.
The home side were bowled out for 205 in the 48th over with Warrington using seven bowlers, who all picked up wickets.
On the basis of their season so far, Warrington well deserve their promotion back to the county league after one season in the Cheshire League.
Grappenhall’s dismal start to the season continued as they went down by nine wickets at Port Sunlight in division one.
Batting first, they started well enough 42 on the board before a wicket fell. But although several batters got settled, none went on to compile the big innings that was needed.
Daniel Adkins hit 30, Tom Brimelow 37, Lewis Porter 31 and Joshua Graves 30 not out.
The all-out total of 201 in the 49th over was never going to be enough.
Port Sunlight’s opening pair put on 144 and Ross Arrowsmith, with 1-62 in just 10 overs was the only Grappenhall bowler to take a wicket.
The result left Grappers with just three points and stll looking for their first win of the season
In the Cheshire League division one, Lymm Oughtrington Park lost by 120 runs at Langley.
The home side hit 287-6, with Antonel Atwell taking 5-48.
Lymm replied with 167, Atwell hitting 34 and Roberts top-scoring with 48.
In division two, Appleton lost by 103 runs at Cheadle Hulme Ladybridge.
The home side hit 106-9 with A Arungunasekaram the pick of Appleton’s bowlers with 3-49.
Appleton were all out for 93 with John Hill top-scoring with 39 not out.
In division three, Glazebury won by nine wickets hosting Frodsham.
The visitors were dismissed for 160, with Ben Marote taking 4-54, Sean Caine 2-27 and Tom Whitby
