Up to six weeks of road closures scheduled for Latchford East

UP to six weeks of road and footway closures are scheduled to start in the Latchford East area of Warrington early in the new year.

The closures will take place between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm starting on January 6.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce the following:
Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: Entire lengths of road: Lindley Avenue; Lowe Avenue; Part lengths of road: Bridgewater Avenue from High School Entrance to Brook Avenue; Reynolds Street from Tinsley Street to Kingsway South.
The Order will be effective from 6th January 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, however, will be in place as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative routes will be as follows: Bridgewater Avenue via Kingsway South, Richmond Avenue, Whitley Avenue, Barrymore Avenue, Mort Avenue and vice versa; Lindley Avenue via Kingsway South, Westy Avenue, Griffiths Street and vice versa; Reynolds Street via Tinsley Street, Longdin Street, Grange Avenue, Kingsway South; Lowe Avenue via Richmond Avenue, Whitley Avenue, Barrymore Avenue and vice versa. The restrictions are required for road or footway surfacing.
