Cllr Maureen McLaughlin, the council’s cabinet member for statutory health and adult social care, said: “Carers fulfil an absolutely vital role. It is important carers have access to information about their rights to help ease some of the challenges associated with caring, whether that’s financial support or information about carer’s leave to help them in their caring role.
“The offer to carers in Warrington and the commitment our services are making to carers is outlined within the Warrington Carers Strategy. I’m delighted we’re revising the strategy as there has been considerable engagement with carers to ensure the strategy reflects the views and opinions of what carers in Warrington need to support them.”
