FOR those brave enough, an open day at Stockton Heath Fire Station provided an opportunity for a breathtaking bird’s eye view over Warrington.

The aerial ladder platform provided an opportunity to take in the view across Warrington from a height of more than 100 feet.

The event provided members of the public to see behind the scenes at their local fire station as well as providing a recruitment opportunity for those interested in joining the fire service.

It also helped raise funds for the Fire Service charity Firefighters 999.

A spokesperson for Stockton Heath Fire Station said: “Thank you all for coming down to our open day today and making it such a special day. A fantastic day was had by all. It was amazing to see so many happy faces enjoying the activities.”
