A Yellow weather warning has been issued for snow and ice for Warrington from around midnight tonight.
The Met Office has issued the weather warning forecasting dry spells through the evening, before showers arrive across western parts overnight. These are likely to be heavy at times, possibly thundery, and bring wintry hazards, locally to lower levels. Minimum temperature of 0 °C.
After a frosty start tomorrow, overnight showers clear south through the morning, leaving a cold, largely dry day. Easternmost parts may see patchy showers of sleet or snow through the afternoon. Maximum temperature of 4 °C.
The outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Further showers through this period, wintry at times, particularly along coasts. Cold and windy throughout with wintry hazards and freezing fog, lingering in prone locations, likely for most areas.
