POLICE in Warrington are urging parents to check up on the whereabouts of their children following reports of large groups of more than 50 youths congregating in the town centre.
A large number of reports and complaints were received yesterday about groups of youths number more than 50, causing alarm and distress to members of the public, particularly around the town centre, the bus station and Cockhedge centre.
Officers are urging parents to discourage them from this behaviour.
Tier 2 rules during the COVID-19 pandemic are that people should not meet in groups of more than six outdoors.

The police should’nt be appealing to parents who are probably no better than their offspring. They should be weighing with truncheons, banging a few heads together and getting the fire brigade to hose them down
they should be sprayed with long lasting dye, then the police can pick them up and charge them, sick to death of the few spoiling things for the many.
Need to be much tougher
Spare the rod spoil the children
Well its all a little confusing isn’t it,we are in a pandemic, we are in lock down, yet its OK for a lot of society to walk around without masks just spreading whatever they have from one to another based on so called loopholes, be it age or being vulnerable, nonsense ……if kids an pass it on to others then make them wear masks,……its a joke.
