Two men taken to hospital after crash

FIRE and rescue crews were called out early today after a two vehicle crash at Warrington which left two men being taken to hospital during the early hours of this morning.

The collision was in Dorchester Road, Great Sankey at around 1.40 am and fire engines from Warrington and Penketh went to the scene.
Crews had to cut away some hedgerow from around the vehicles which enabled one man to get out. Both vehicles were then made safe, with their batteries isolated.

Two men – the drivers of the two vehicles – were then taken to hospital for precautionary checks. They were not thought to be serious hurt.
A road closure was in place while the vehicles were recovered.
