THE twelfth anniversary of the London 7/7 bombing will be commemorated at the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace in Warrington and London.

The Foundation has been asked by the Mayor of London’s office to organise events in Warrington and in London.

The foundation, which was established in the aftermath of the Warrington bombings which killed twelve-year-old Tim Parry and three-year-old Johnathan Ball, works with victims and survivors of terror attacks.

A minute’s silence will be held at the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace as a symbolic act of remembrance at 15:00 on Friday July 7.

A service will be held at midday on July 7 in Hyde Park, London, at the memorial site, to remember the victims of the attack.

During the morning at the precise moment the bombs were detonated, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Metropolitan Police commissioner Cressida Dick and other representatives of the emergency services will lay flowers at the memorial to the victims in Hyde Park.

Survivors of the London 7/7 bombing have previously laid flowers in London to remember those killed and injured in recent attacks.

The Manchester Arena terror attack and incidents in London have led to an increase in referrals to the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace Centre’s Survivors’ Assistance Network (SAN).

Some of the people who have contacted SAN had been directly affected by the London 7/7 bombing and have sought help after 12 years after being retraumatized by recent events.

SAN provides free practical and emotional support to anyone who’s been affected by a terrorist attack.

Support is available by phone, email on social media and in person.

Terry O’Hara, project manager of the Survivors’ Assistance Network, said: “We will be marking the 12 years since the devastating events of July 7th 2005 in ever more worrying and tumultuous times.

“We stand together as families and survivors for peace, and we will mark the anniversary while thinking of those whose lives have been lost or forever changed by Westminster, Manchester and the London Bridge attacks.”

Mr O’Hara said we will be thinking of those for whom the grief is “all too recent, raw and shocking.”
