Log burner involved in chimney fire

A LOG burner may have caused a chimney fire at a house in Warrington.
Firefighters went to the house in St Mary Street, Latchford and tackled the blaze after flames were seen coming from the chimney.
They extinguished the fire with water. cooled the chimney and log burner and then used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire had not spread/
In another incident, a woman was given oxygen after a kitchen fire at a first floor flat in Boston Boulevard, Chapelford. The fire involved an unattended cooker.
A third fire involved a car in Liverpool Road, Great Sankey and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish it.
