WARRINGTON Borough Council today made an order for the emergency closure of Highfield Lane, Winwick for a period of up to five days.
The Road is closed to all vehicular traffic while council workmen remove a tree damaged after being struck by a vehicle.
It is not expected the work will take more than one day to complete but the road will be closed as and when signs are in place on site.
An alternative route is available via Myddleton Lane, Newton Road and Winwick Link Road.
