THE committee that organises Lymm Festival is looking for new people to help them run next year’s event.
Following the success of this year’s Festival, the committee is taking a rest in August but come September they will be starting to plan for next year.
Chairman Ian Marks said: “We are extremely grateful to all the people who help us in all sorts of ways to put on the festival.
Putting on over 50 very different events is a major task and requires a huge amount of effort. On top of the main 11-day festival in June we run ‘Winter Warmers’ and this year these were all sell-outs.
“We are planning to do this again and we have already organised a Jane Austen evening with Robert Powell on November 24 at Statham Lodge.
“To help spread the load we are looking for volunteers to help out with marketing and promotion, and managing the website. We would also like to hear from anyone with skills in health and safety, insurance and raising money through sponsorship.”
If you would like to get involved in some way please ring me on 01925 753051 or email Ian Marks on chair@lymmfestival.org.uk
