A WIDE variety of free summer holiday activities will be available at Warrington’s Victoria Park next month when the annual VPX – Victoria Park Experience – is staged.
Activities will include Rampworx skatepark, coaching in football, rugby, Tae Kwando, dance, Zumba, tennis, archery, spinning classes, cricket, athletics, an army style assault course, and a climbing wall.
The event, which takes place on four Tuesdays in August – is organised by Cheshire Police.
PCSO Tom Reid said: “It is totally free of charge and open to people of all ages and abilities.
“We also have activities aimed at younger people this year with free face painting, a bouncy castle, tots rugby and football. And the Change 4 Life team promoting active games.”
There will be displays from the fire service and Cheshire Search and Rescue.
Warrington South PCSOs Tony Spruce and Tom started VPX six years ago by arranging for staff from Rampworx skatepark to visit the park to give young people something productive to do during the holidays.
Tom said: “Over the past years we have expanded the event into four family friendly activities days on the park.”
The weekly event will be held every Tuesday in August from 11am-4pm at Victoria Park in Latchford.
