A number of schools across Warrington are expected to close due to industrial action on Thursday, June 27.
The closures are expected after the teachers’ trade unions, NASUWT and the NUT, announced a day of industrial action across the North West.
Schools so far expected to close are: Callands Primary, Dallam Primary, Great Sankey High, Green Lane School, St Vincent’s Westbrook and Old Hall Primary will be closed to pupils but open to staff.
Schools affected by partial closures are:
Bradshaw Primary will be partially closed. Reception will be open all day. Year 3 will be open in the afternoon. All others will be closed.
Foxwood School may be partially closed.
Great Sankey Primary will be partially closed. Year 2, Year 3, Year5/6 and Year 6 will remain open.
Sankey Valley St James will be partially closed. Year 3 and Year 6 children will be in school.
Warrington St Barnabas will be partially closed. Year 1 and Year 2 will remain open.

Once again these hard done to teachers putting themselves before their pupils. These are the same lefty; work shy nobodies that have the gaul to criticise parents about taking kids out of school in term-time for a holiday because it affects their education At least they have a job and a pension to look forward too…. many of the parents struggling to afford holidays don’t have such luxuries…. sack the lot of ’em

If they are open to staff then they should be open to pupils, the staff will be drawing salary for doing nothing.
