Something must be done about these young arsonists there are at least FOUR sites of fires started during the recent Easter holidays. It was only last Saturday evening that Ste Dodd posted photographs of the fire damage on the Warrington Conservation Forum Facebook site. https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Warrington-Nature-Conservation-Forum/110886079024465?fref=ts
Yesterday was my first change to go and see and report back to members and what did I see but smoke billowing into the air.
Yet another fire had been started at the John Parr Meadows. Whilst I was there a local resident pointed to the wood and asked me to look at what had happened the previous week and asked me if I could get the remnants of the blue bin removed. It’s shocking to see what has happened during the Easter holidays not just here but at other wildlife sites. The WNCF are trying their best to save and promote such areas that can be destroyed so quickly
Could I ask readers that when they report crimes like this and other Wildlife Crimes in Warrington that they ask the person in the police who they report it to make sure that it is marked for PC Marshall’s attention so that it gets recorded on the wildlife crimes database?
