COUNCILLORS are to visit the proposed site of a new dwelling before deciding if building can go ahead.
Members of Warrington Borough Council’s planning committee will inspect the site in Elm Tree Road, Lymm as a result of objections from Lymm Parish Council and local borough councillors Ian Marks and Sheila Woodyatt.
The four bedroomed bungalow would be sited at the rear of an existing property in Elm Tree Road which has an extensive garden at the rear.
But objectors claim the plan represents overdevelopment of the site, with a detrimental impact on the amenity of neighbouring residents.
Planning officers admit privacy distance may be short of the 21 meres normally required but say boundary treatments between the properties would ensure there was no overlooking.
They consider the scheme to be acceptable.
