ONE person was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke after fire broke out in a house at Warrington.
The blaze was on the ground floor of a semi-detached house in Marshall Avenue, Dallam and two fire engines were sent to the scene.
The house was heavily smokelogged and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames and a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the properlty.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
In a separate incident, fire crews were called to a kitchen fire at a house in Henshall Avenue, Warrington.
The cause was an overheated chip pan left unattended on the cooker but was out by the time crews reached the scene. The owner of the house went to hospital to be
checked for the effects of smoke inhalation.
