VOLUNTEERS are needed in Warrington to help save the lives of young people who die in schools following a sudden cardiac arrest.
Evidence shows that on average 12 young people a week in the UK die of cardiac arrest and that 270 deaths each year occur in schools.
Charity Hand on Heart wants to reduce the numbers of deaths, by equipping as many children and teachers as possible with the knowledge and skills to save a life.
To raise funds the charity is holding a charity bag pack in Warrington on Saturday February 23. Anyone who can help should contact Lesley Groome on 0845 071 0822.
Money raised will go towards providing fully or partially funded defibrillators and training packages to schools.
