Design a card for charity

SCHOOLCHILDREN across Warrington have been invited to design a Christmas card for the Peace Centre and help raise money for the charity.
Warrington Wolves star Ben Westwood launched Golden Square Shopping Centre’s Get Creative Christmas card competition at Oughtrington Community Primary School, in Lymm.
The winning design will be chosen as the Peace Centre’s Christmas card and sold in the shopping centre.
Father-of-three Ben will be a judge for the competition.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing the Christmas card entries and if the artwork from Oughtrington is anything to go by then we are in for a real treat!”
The winning artist will also receive a Christmas-themed rugby ball signed by Ben and a £500 grant will go to their school for an arts project.
All profits from the card will go to the centre’s charity of the year, the Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball Foundation For Peace.
Children aged from three to 11-years-old can enter and submit as many designs as they wish. All entries must be received by November 11 and be in either A5 or A4 format, and sent to: Get Creative Christmas Card, competition, Fidelity House, Stocks Lane, Boughton, Chester CH3 5FT.
Participating schools should indicate in a covering letter how they would allocate the creative prize if they were successful.
